Alabama's only STEM innovation center, EMc4 is a science, research and innovation center that provides disadvantaged students access to high-quality STEM education. The 4SIGHT program brings unique resources to the research and innovation center that will build a technology education pipeline of future scientists, engineers, designers and inventors.
4SIGHT has an impressive track record of using a STEM based platform to educate, empower and create generational wealth.
PROBLEM
Alabama ranks 50 - last in America's education system and has the nation's largest worker shortage. Children in Alabama are not excelling in the public school setting, with representation from young boys and girls experiencing poverty, broken families and learning disabilities.
Inspired by Dr. Foster's dropout story, Dr. CyDale Smith founded 4SIGHT, a 501(c)(3) education organization. He conducted a year-long needs assessment including surveys with parents and 400 interviews, which resulted in the launch of a very successful robotics program for at-risk youth. They outperformed STEM-focused magnet programs, placing #1 in Madison County and #2 in the state of Alabama as minority students gained access and opportunity to STEM educators.

Our mission is two-fold: (1) Ensure high-needs students in grades Pre-K to 12, throughout the state of Alabama (urban and rural underrepresented communities) are prepared to compete and excel in lucrative STEM careers fields; and (2) Create an :educational pipeline" from Pre-K to PhD.
